Position Summary

The SAP Business Process Mgr serves as the group functional owner and decision authority for SAP S/4HANA processes across Procurement, Demand Planning, Scheduling, and Inventory Management. Reporting to the Group VP Supply Chain, this role leads group-wide SAP business process strategy, deployment governance, fit-to-standard adoption, and sustainment across group supporting 7 divisions and 38 locations.

Partners with Corporate SAP S/4HANA Business Process Leaders, group SAP IT, division leadership, and functional stakeholders to align solution design, testing, business readiness, and deployment execution. Leads the end-to-end functional deployment of Procurement, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Operations Scheduling, and Inventory Management processes across the group.

This role drives standardization of critical supply chain and operations processes and ensures SAP-enabled decisions support consistent execution, business continuity, and realization of SAP program benefits.

This role has direct impact on the successful deployment and sustainment of SAP S/4HANA across the group. Decisions made by this position influence procurement execution, production scheduling, demand and supply alignment, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, customer service, working capital, financial reporting integrity, and realization of SAP program benefits. The role is critical to ensure that group divisions adopt Parker standard processes and achieve consistent, sustainable business performance through SAP-enabled transformation. The role is responsible for supporting realization of SAP-enabled business benefits, including improved process standardization, planning discipline, inventory accuracy, data integrity, operational efficiency, and sustainable adoption of Parker standard processes.

This role operates in a complex, matrixed environment requiring alignment across Corporate SAP teams, group leadership, division leadership, manufacturing locations, supply chain, procurement, operations, finance, IT, and end users. The position must balance Parker enterprise SAP standards with division-specific operational requirements while driving process standardization, resolving cross-functional conflicts, managing implementation risk, and ensuring business continuity during SAP deployment and stabilization.

Responsibilities
  • Leads group-wide SAP deployment strategy, readiness, execution, and sustainment for assigned workstreams in partnership with Corporate SAP S/4HANA Business Process Leaders, Group SAP IT Lead, and division leadership.
  • Establishes and leads functional governance for assigned SAP processes, including fit-to-standard decisions, exception management, escalation, prioritization, and process adoption.
  • Leads current-state assessments across divisions and evaluates divisional processes against Parker standard SAP business processes; identifies gaps, risks, organizational impacts, and required business changes.
  • Drives adoption of Parker standard SAP processes and makes recommendations on process standardization, business requirements, and exceptions requiring group or corporate approval.
  • Leads cross-functional workshops with operations, procurement, supply chain, finance, materials, scheduling, manufacturing, and division leadership to align future-state processes and deployment readiness.
  • Owns functional readiness for assigned workstreams, including data readiness, process validation, testing, training, cutover preparation, go-live support, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Leads functional issue resolution during deployment, cutover, and hypercare; escalates risks and decisions to group leadership and Corporate SAP S/4HANA Business Process Leaders as appropriate.
  • Partners with Corporate Business Process teams to evaluate additional business requirements, develop business cases, support solution design, validate configuration, approve testing outcomes, and support divisional adoption.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and training to divisional implementation teams, process owners, super users, and end users to ensure sustainable adoption of SAP standard processes.
  • Influences division and group stakeholders to adopt standard processes, resolve conflicts, accelerate implementation timelines, and improve deployment efficiency.
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities after go-live and recommends enhancements to group leadership and Corporate SAP S/4HANA Business Process Leaders.
  • Identifies, assesses, and mitigates functional deployment risks that could impact business continuity, supply chain execution, inventory accuracy, production scheduling, customer service, or financial reporting.
  • Maintains strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA functionality, integrated business processes, and related systems impacting procurement, demand planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Requires significant travel to group divisions and implementation sites to lead deployment activities, support site readiness, conduct workshops, resolve issues, and ensure successful go-live and hypercare outcomes.
  • Prepares and presents functional readiness status, key risks, decision requirements, and deployment recommendations to group leadership, division leadership, and Corporate SAP stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, operations, engineering, information systems, or related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, materials management, production planning, scheduling, inventory management, manufacturing operations, or ERP-enabled business process leadership.
  • 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional project teams, implementation teams, or business process improvement initiatives.
  • Direct SAP or large-scale ERP implementation experience strongly preferred; SAP S/4HANA implementation experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business process transformation across multiple sites, divisions, or business units.
  • Experience serving as a business process owner, functional lead, workstream lead, or deployment lead for ERP/SAP implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading ERP/SAP-enabled supply chain and manufacturing workstreams, including procurement, demand planning, production scheduling, MRP, inventory management, process design, data readiness, testing, cutover, go-live support, and hypercare stabilization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, resolve cross-functional conflicts, and drive decision-making in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong change management, stakeholder management, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex SAP and business process concepts into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, implementation teams, super users, or site readiness teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to travel 25%-50%, with increased travel during deployment, cutover, go-live, and hypercare periods.

  • Pay Range: $107,000 to $188,000 annually
