Salesforce Technical Architect to support a potential federal government contract in Northern Virginia.
This is a full-time position supporting an active proposal. Upon contract award, the Salesforce Technical Architect will serve as a key technical leader responsible for defining and guiding the overall Salesforce architecture strategy, supporting Agile delivery teams, and ensuring scalable, secure, and mission-focused Salesforce solutions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with deep Salesforce expertise, strong leadership skills, and experience supporting federal government environments.
What You'll Do
- Define and maintain the overall Salesforce technical architecture and roadmap.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions aligned with business and mission requirements.
- Apply deep knowledge of the Salesforce security model, including profiles, permissions, sharing rules, and data access controls.
- Lead Salesforce solution design, implementation, modernization, and migration efforts.
- Design efficient Salesforce data models and integration strategies.
- Architect integrations between Salesforce and external systems using middleware and API-based solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional Agile teams.
- Support full lifecycle Agile development, delivery, and release management activities.
- Oversee source control, deployment processes, and release management best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and business teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Communicate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations to senior government and contractor leadership.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of Salesforce experience.
- 3-5 years of experience serving as a Salesforce Technical Architect or in a similar architecture leadership role.
- Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification required.
- Minimum of 4 years supporting civilian federal government agencies.
- Demonstrated experience designing enterprise Salesforce solutions, integrations, and data models.
- Experience supporting Agile software development environments.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security architecture, governance, and best practices.
- Experience with release management, source control, and deployment technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 5 Background Investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related technical field.
- Experience supporting federal civilian agencies.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating solutions to Salesforce platforms.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide Salesforce transformation initiatives.
