You Are:A Salesforce Life Sciences Functional Architect at the Senior Manager level within Accenture's Salesforce Business Group. You operate at the strategic and executive layer of delivery - owning the overall solution vision for large, complex programs while guiding and developing the architects and leads beneath you. You are as comfortable presenting architecture trade-offs to a VP or Director as you are diving into a data model with a developer. You have strong opinions, earned through experience, and the judgment to know when to hold them and when to adapt. Clients trust you. Your teams learn from you.
The Work:- Own the overall solution architecture vision for large-scale, multi-workstream Salesforce Life Sciences programs, ensuring coherence across functional design, technical implementation, data strategy, and integration.
- Serve as the senior liaison between business leadership and technical delivery teams - translating strategic intent into architecture direction and, where needed, stepping into a functional or technical lead capacity to break through design impasses, resolve ambiguity, or accelerate alignment across the program.
- Lead architecture governance across the delivery program - setting standards, conducting design reviews, and making binding decisions on platform direction and technical approach.
- Act as the primary solution escalation point for the delivery team; resolve cross-workstream design conflicts and align stakeholders on path forward.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior client stakeholders at the VP and Director level, translating complex architecture concepts into business impact narratives and facilitating alignment across business and technology leaders.
- Guide and mentor Manager-level Solution Architects, senior functional leads, and tech leads; actively develop the next generation of SA talent within the practice.
- Partner with Accenture's alliance teams, Salesforce product teams, and third-party vendors to shape the solution approach and leverage the latest platform capabilities.
- Lead solution design contributions during pursuit phases, including architecture sections of RFP responses, solution demonstrations, and client orals.
- Drive practice development through reusable assets, architecture blueprints, and industry-specific point-of-view content for the Life Sciences commercial space.
- Manage solution risk at the program level - identifying systemic architectural risks early and working with delivery leadership to mitigate.
Here's What You Need:- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Salesforce delivery experience, with demonstrated tenure in solution architecture or senior platform leadership roles
- Experience architecting and delivering multiple large-scale, complex Salesforce programs in Life Sciences or an adjacent regulated industry (e.g., MedTech, Payer, Provider)
- Experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud (LSC), Health Cloud, or equivalent pharma/biotech CRM platforms and expertise in how these clouds are applied across commercial, medical, and patient-facing use cases
- Experience leading delivery using Agile, hybrid, or scaled Agile frameworks at program scale (e.g., SAFe, multi-team Scrum) and shaping methodology decisions for the engagement
- Experience leveraging AI/ML capabilities (e.g., Salesforce Einstein, Agentforce, generative AI tools) within Life Sciences commercial solutions, including ability to advise clients on AI strategy and adoption
- Experience supporting Life Sciences clients and/or the Life Sciences industry at a senior delivery or advisory level
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years' work experience)
Bonus Points If:- Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA (Certified Technical Architect) designation
- Experience operating as a functional and technical hybrid - with enough depth on both sides to design end-to-end solutions without siloing into one lane
- Deep integration architecture experience including MuleSoft, event-driven architectures, or enterprise API strategy in complex Life Sciences environments
- Experience with commercial transformation programs in pharma/biotech: HCP engagement, field force enablement, patient services, or commercial data strategy
- Pre-sales leadership experience including owning architecture narrative for competitive RFP responses and executive-level solution presentations
- Relationship management experience at the Director and VP level with Life Sciences clients, with a track record of building trust and repeat engagement
- Experience building and leading high-performing, geographically distributed delivery teams at Senior Manager level or above
