About the PositionThe Sales Support Manager plays a key role in enabling efficient, high-quality commercial outcomes across Energy Exemplar's sales lifecycle. This role manages the operational and contractual support required to progress SaaS opportunities from proposal through contract execution, onboarding, billing, and renewal support.
While the role will coordinate selected RFPs, RFIs, tenders, and procurement requests, its primary focus is the management of standard SaaS commercial processes-including quotes, order forms, contract documentation, redlines, approvals, and cross-functional coordination. The Sales Support Manager partners closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, Deal Desk, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure commercial documentation is accurate, timely, compliant, and aligned with internal policies.
This is a hands-on, highly organized role for a proactive commercial operations professional who can manage competing priorities, improve processes, and provide trusted support to sales leaders and client-facing teams.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end sales support for SaaS opportunities, from quote creation through contract execution, customer onboarding, and billing handover.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate standard SaaS commercial documentation, including quotes, proposals, order forms, statements of work, contract amendments, renewals, and related documentation.
- Serve as a key point of contact for Sales on commercial process, documentation requirements, approval pathways, and deal progression.
- Coordinate contract review and negotiation workflows, including managing redlines, tracking changes, and liaising with Legal and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support the preparation and administration of new client agreements, renewals, expansions, variations, and other changes to existing customer contracts.
- Ensure commercial and contractual records are complete, accurate, appropriately approved, and stored in line with internal governance requirements.
- Coordinate selected RFPs, RFIs, tenders, and procurement requests, including managing timelines, gathering subject matter expert inputs, ensuring compliance, and preparing polished submissions.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding, client due diligence, security questionnaires, procurement portals, and other customer documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, account, quote, and contract data in Salesforce and associated systems.
- Partner with Finance to support accurate invoicing, purchase order collection, billing setup, payment tracking, and resolution of commercial discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Operations, and Delivery teams to ensure successful handover and timely activation of licences, services, training, and implementation support.
- Monitor sales support workflows and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, documentation quality, reporting, and stakeholder experience.
- Develop and maintain templates, playbooks, trackers, and process documentation for core sales support and contract-management activities.
- Provide reporting and operational support to Sales leadership, including pipeline hygiene, contract status, RFP activity, and commercial documentation tracking.
- Support ad hoc commercial operations, administration, and business initiatives as required.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:- Minimum 4-5 years' experience in sales support, commercial operations, deal desk, contract administration, or a similar client-facing coordination role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting SaaS or technology sales processes, including quotes, order forms, contracts, renewals, and commercial approvals.
- Experience coordinating RFPs, RFIs, tenders, or procurement responses is desirable.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, SaaS contracting, procurement processes, and contract lifecycle management.
- Confidence managing contractual documentation and coordinating legal review; experience working with contract redlines is highly desirable.
- Strong project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong business writing and document-preparation capability.
- Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgement, and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM; experience with CPQ, contract lifecycle management, or e-signature tools is advantageous.
- Ability to build effective relationships across Sales, Legal, Finance, Operations, and other global stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with a strong sense of ownership and interest in continuous process improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Legal Studies, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
