Senior Sales Support Engineer - Strategic Accounts Position Overview Support the Strategic Account Managers' efforts in the construction market with a primary focus on
strategic customer accounts and complex projects. This senior-level role is responsible for leading quotation strategy, reviewing RFQs for accuracy and optimization, and driving value engineering initiatives.
The role will proactively manage both pre- and post-order activities, partner closely with Sales Engineers and leadership on pipeline strategy, and serve as a key technical and commercial advisor to both internal teams and customers.
This position reports to the Sales Support Manager with a dotted line to the Bid Operations Manager.
Senior Sales Support Engineer - Strategic Accounts This position will be remote in Florida metro areas, preferably Tampa Role Description You'll make an impact by: - Lead strategic quotation and project support
- Review completed RFQs for completeness, technical accuracy, and commercial alignment
- Guide quote strategy aligned to customer needs and business goals
- Drive Value Engineering initiatives
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to propose alternative solutions
- Lead pipeline review and opportunity alignment
- Facilitate or co-lead pipeline review calls with Sales and leadership
- Track key opportunities, risks, and prioritization
- Manage and expand strategic customer relationships
- Respond to inquiries, escalate urgent matters, and provide proactive project updates
- Support pre- and post-order execution
- Prepare technical documentation & manage post-sale activities i.e. change orders & issue resolution
- Serve as technical liaison
- Interface between customer, sales, & business units to resolve technical & commercial questions
- Provide team leadership and coverage
- Act as primary point of contact for key accounts or during Sales Engineer absences
You will win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - 8-10 years industry experience in electrical distribution, construction, or related technical sales/support roles
- 5+ years of proven expertise in project take-offs, RFQ analysis, and complex quoting environments
- 5+ years of strong understanding of power distribution products, systems, and applications
- 5+ years supporting or leading large-scale project opportunities and strategic accounts
- 5+ years demonstrated ability in value engineering and solution optimization

The pay range for this position is $91,463.00 - $156,794.00 annually with a target incentive of 15 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
