The Opportunity:The Sales Specialist is responsible for territory planning, qualifying opportunities and closing business within the analytical chemistry workflow by providing client solutions as they work towards making the next breakthrough discovery.
This is a field-based role with a focus on accounts in Texas and surrounding southern states. The teamAvantor's Analytical Chemistry Specialists act as a subject matter expert and work within the matrix of general sales representatives, supply partners, portfolio, and marketing to deliver solutions relevant to the analytical chemistry marketplace that meet customer requirements, specifications and long-term account goals that are in line with company and business unit strategy.
What We're Looking For- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or equivalent work experience required
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years chromatography experience
- Technical: Firm understanding of analytical chemistry marketplace (HPLC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, FPLC, flash, purification, spectroscopy, ICP, wet chemistry, etc.)
- Holder of a valid Driver's License
- Willingness to travel to customer locations minimum 4 days a week
- Travel throughout the South-Central region of the U.S.
- Computer Skills: MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Worked in an analytical lab, performing duties such as sample prep and data analysis
- Running/Maintaining/Troubleshooting analytical instruments/equipment (PM, IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Salesforce and SAP experience
- Sales experience in a matrixed environment

Pay Transparency:The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$86,250.00 - $146,912.50
This reflects base salary.
This position is subject to incentive compensation, where the expected pre-tax Target Cash Opportunity ("TCO") for this position is based on the achieved sales and in the amount/range of,
$123,250.00 - $209,875.00
Actual Pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and eligible geographic location.
