Full Job Description
Ziegler CAT is seeking a driven and customer focused Branch Sales Representative to support branch level and area growth by identifying new customer opportunities, generating leads, and converting prospects into Building Construction Products (BCP) equipment sales. This role emphasizes outbound prospecting, customer acquisition, and close collaboration with the marketing team to increase demand, drive transactions, and expand the dealership's presence in the small to mid-sized construction equipment market.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities through outbound calls, local outreach, and participation in community events
  • Handle inbound branch walk-in and sales calls
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted lead-generation campaigns aligned with branch goals
  • Responding to leads within company-defined response time
  • Achieves consistent weekly call activity quotas to align with productivity matrix
  • Validate and contact assigned accounts, ensuring accurate contact data exists and working to create self-generated leads
  • Represent the dealership at fairs, parades, customer events, and local shows to build brand awareness and capture new leads
  • Uncover customer needs and align them with appropriate BCP solutions
  • Schedule and conduct product demos, prepare and present quotes, and perform off-site trade-in inspections
  • Convert leads to new BCP sales through consultative selling, persistent follow-up, and strong relationship-building
  • Partner with outside sales representatives, service teams, and technical coordinators to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide marketing with feedback on lead quality and campaign performance
  • Update equipment pricing sheets and assist with new machine display selection, layout, and movement
  • Assist with local retail efforts when branch retail champion is unavailable
  • Support Parts and Rental customers during peak times


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree with concentration in business or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in equipment, or other customer-facing selling environments
  • Mechanical or equipment aptitude with the ability to understand construction machine applications and customer value
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using CRM systems and digital marketing tools for activity tracking, lead management, and pipeline development
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality and a passion for driving growth
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record for off-site visits


Travel:
  • Up to 10% within the local territory


Minimum Physical Qualifications

  • Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.
  • Position will include standing, sitting, walking, use of hands, talking, and hearing.

The total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is
$74,200.00 to $111,300.00
Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
