Sample Preparation Sales Specialist - Southwest (Texas).

Job Description

The Sample Preparation Sales Specialist is a customer-facing member of the company's sales team for electron microscopy sample preparation equipment. His/her primary function is to execute sales plans and implement new strategies to hit mission objectives. Responsibilities include maintaining customer relationships, growing sales, growing sales funnel and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate would be someone with a microscopy background, a willingness to learn, and an engaging personality.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual orders and sales goals for the territory
  • Perform product demonstrations
  • Consistently grow opportunity funnel through sales prospecting
  • Identify and develop key accounts in the territory
  • Maintain sales activity through Salesforce.com
  • Participate in sales meetings, national and local trade shows
  • Conduct workshops, seminars or focus groups at local society meetings


Requirements
  • Efficient in managing multiple accounts in a large geography
  • Ability to think creatively and initiate new ideas
  • Demonstrated commitment, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Proficient computer skills (Salesforce.com, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

Professional Experience

2-5 years of capital sales experience

The ideal candidate will have background in electron microscopy, light microscopy, sample preparation, and/or cryo sample preparation. Candidates living near Dallas, Austin, or Houston will be favored.

Education

BA/BS in a science or engineering required; advanced degree preferred.

Travel

25-50%, including overnight travel. Territory: AR, LA, NM, OK, TX.

Compensation:

100K-130K+ uncapped, Car Allowance, Healthcare Benefits, 401K.
