Full Job Description
Sales Representative II POSITION OBJECTIVE Maximize Polymer resins, chemicals and/or downstream product sales. Generate new business leads, Cold Call and maximize business with end user manufactures. Provide market and customer data for internal teams for accurate analysis and planning. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY • Strategic Sales Implementation: Coordinate and facilitate strategies for growth, business and product development. Coordinate and facilitate market strategies and pricing to impact customer product and profitability mix. • Coordinate and facilitate on prices and credit terms. Coordinate and facilitate on sales contracts, solicit sales orders and contracts. • Maintain and manage large accounts and ability to negotiate contract and terms. Provide professional expertise and process knowledge to solute customer concern and process issues. • Sales Prospecting: Coordinate and facilitate marketing/business development to create, recommend and implement new sales strategic plans and tactics. Develop pre-contract plan, contact decision maker and initiate new sales process. • Customer Contacts & Relationships: Develop and sustain consistently high quality customer contacts and relationships. Facilitate, collaborate and coordinate with allied internal company contacts to implement and reinforce external customer expectations, commitments and Formosa Branding. • Marketing & Technical Support: Coordinate and facilitate with Marketing on pricing, competitive sales, and GTM strategies. • Ability to mediate and provide ongoing technical support to customers for product quality complaints. • Sales Follow-Up & Customer Service: Consistently and in a timely manner, coordinate, facilitate and mediate on price adjustments or payment discrepancies, on resolution of customer QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 4-6 years of Polymer experience in the plastics industry. Understanding and experience of the operation and process on various products of the Formosa Plastics Group. Well known Formosa Plastics operation. • Ability to handle large accounts with complex product portfolios with interface at the executive level. • Strong English communication skills (verbal, written, and comprehension), with the ability to lead discussions and deliver presentations to large groups • Working knowledge of polymer production processes, technologies, and industry terminology • Ability to apply technical knowledge and sales best practices to improve commercial effectiveness • Proficiency in business analytics, including probability and statistical inference, to support data-driven decision-making • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Education • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) required; Engineering degree preferred • Equivalent combination of relevant experience and advanced technical expertise may be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree Other Requirements • Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required. • Willingness to travel frequently (60%-80%) and work a flexible, non-standard schedule, with the ability to maintain consistent performance and meet all job expectations while traveling or working remotely; demonstrates strong time management and adaptability to changing schedules without impacting results.
