The RoleThe Sales Planning Manager is the primary internal point of contact for field sales teams and ensures that the voice of the customer and the channels are communicated effectively to the broader organization. The Sales Planning Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Accounting, IT, Packaging, Regulatory and the Sales Strategy & Capabilities Team, to drive business objectives that align to company initiatives. This is a hybrid role and is open to either being located in Minneapolis, MN or Los Angeles, CA. Our LA HQ office is located in Playa Vista, CA.
What You'll Do:- In conjunction with field sales and upline management, this role will develop and deliver customer-specific plans and sales strategies that align with company objectives.
- This role will manage and evolve our key sales reports to enable the sales team to deliver our yearly KPI's and effective plan for the year to come.
- Lead in the setup and execution of the yearly planning cycle leveraging Blueplanner, to enable the sales team to execute those plans.
- Manage sales forecasts, track performance metrics, distribution gains and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure our internal master data metrics meet retailer standards, retail CPG standards and internal reporting needs.
- Represent customer needs for the field sales teams within the broader executional and parts of the commercialization organization.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Accounting, IT and Strategic Sales Team to ensure consistent sales strategies and reporting.
- Participate in joint business planning with field sales, fostering partnerships to deliver company objectives.
- Monitor customer performance and sales trends to adjust strategies and drive business growth.
- Key sales support in the S&OP cycle, ensuring sales needs are captured and represented in the monthly process.
- Support flawless execution of trade marketing and brand initiatives, in partnership with cross-functional management, ensuring they align with sales plans
What You'll Need:- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in sales planning, account management, retailer data analytics or related roles within a CPG retail industry.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across teams.
- Experience with sales forecasting, data analysis, and CRM tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to influence decision-making processes and collaborate with senior leadership.
CompensationThe pay range for this role is $97,000-$115,000/yr. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
