Overview

The Sales Operations Lead supports the effectiveness and efficiency of the Sales organization by coordinating sales operations activities, improving processes, maintaining critical business systems, and overseeing the daily sales operational workflow.

 

This position coordinates key administrative and operational functions that support the Sales team and helps ensure work is completed accurately, consistently, and on time. Responsibilities include project coordination, reporting, process monitoring, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, system administration, documentation, and implementation of policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, training, and operational support to Sales Operations and administrative team members.
  • Assist with prioritizing work, resolving issues, and ensuring responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide the Sales Operations Manager with feedback regarding team performance, workload, development needs, and operational concerns.
  • Serve as a resource for the Sales team by responding to questions, researching issues, and coordinating timely solutions.
  • Provide support to the daily workflow of the Sales Operations inbox and work queues that include Salesforce Accounts, Contacts and Ship To maintenance Objects. Responsible for the Prospect and New account setup/maintenance including training compliance.
  • Provide departmental coverage and operational oversight in the absence of the Sales Operations Manager and Receptionist/Sales Admin, as assigned.
  • Review sales support workflows and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity, and consistency.
  • Coordinate projects involving new technology, process redesign, system enhancements, and effective use of resources.
  • Support annual strategic goals, software upgrades, system implementations, and corporate initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, communicate updates, identify risks, and coordinate timely completion.
  • Prepare, review, maintain, and distribute reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, charts, and related materials.
  • Develop and maintain reporting procedures that provide accurate and timely information to management and the Sales team.
  • Research and respond to operational questions and requests from employees, managers, customers, and business partners.
  • Maintain departmental records, reference materials, procedures, and business documentation.
  • Complete related reports and administrative assignments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate information within Salesforce, Epicor, Formstack, and other business systems used by the organization.
  • Perform assigned Salesforce Administrator duties, including user support, system configuration, data maintenance, reporting, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.
  • Partner with Information Technology and other departments to identify, test, and implement system improvements.
  • Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and security of company, customer, dealer, and employee information.
  • Coordinate and support the onboarding of Sales and Sales Operations employees.
  • Provide support for the maintenance and oversight of Ship-To records and carrier assignments.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide backup reception coverage and support other administrative business activities, as needed.
  • Complete additional projects, reports, and responsibilities that support the Sales department and organizational objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, communications, information systems, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in sales support, sales operations, administration, or a related role.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Epicor, Formstack, and related business applications required.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Read, analyze, and interpret a variety of information, such as technical procedures, business correspondence, and governmental regulations furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Create business-level written correspondence and verbally present information to internal and external customers.  

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Work out of Corporate Office. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and touch; and talk and hear.
