Position Summary

This role is responsible for the development of new business opportunities within an assigned geography, enhancing and contributing to the overall increase of market share, revenue and profitability consistent with the sales strategy. In addition, this role is responsible for hiring, mentoring and developing the Sales team to ensure sales, revenue and profit goals are met.

Position Details
  • Manages the sales activities ensuring that strong customer relationships are established and maintained while also driving sales team to achieve business objectives in both construction and service sales activities. Promotes team selling and expansion of existing relationships into additional new sales.
  • Supports sales teams in direct selling key/assigned accounts as required and is available as a point of contact for clients.
  • Targets key projects and/or key accounts and develops/implements sales strategies to ensure successful sales. Actively participates in the estimating and quoting of projects as required.
  • Assists sales team in determining margins, identifying resources and assessing future potential business. Provides reporting metrics as needed.
  • Partners with business leader to develop long-range sales planning and growth and monthly sales forecasts. Provides input to budget
  • Manages sales team performance; provides coaching and training paths to develop skills with each team member. Communicates goals and provides performance appraisals to direct reports. Provides input to commission plans.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related field preferred
  • 5+ years of previous Sales Management experience including HVAC/Automation industry experience and people management
  • Excellent demonstrated sales skills in prospecting, qualifying, proposing and closing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills--Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Travel 50% of the time
