Job Description Sales Manager SummaryAt RathGibson Janesville, Wisconsin, the Sales Manager is the focal point for maintaining and communicating the sales and operational plan. This includes serving as the liaison between the customer and operations on relevant issues while working closely with Inside Sales, Production Control, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to achieve customer requirements while maximizing sales/profit opportunities. The Sales Manager maintains all aspects of their designated accounts and provides guidance to the sales team and outside representatives, as needed. They are also responsible for developing pricing
, maintaining profit margin for all products as well as growing and/or maintaining RathGibson market share.
Essential Functions- Oversees all aspects of a customer's transaction (from initial inquiry to delivery arrangements.)
- Responsible for implementing sales strategies that maximize profit margin, delivery integrity, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare budgetary sales and margin forecasts and establish goals that ensure compliance with all budgetary obligations.
- Services assigned existing customer base while promoting new business.
- Provides timely and accurate information on customer order status and product knowledge requests and identifies customer requirements and specifications.
- Manage and develops relationships with customer base which ultimately support the needs of the operation
- Maintains monthly pricing sheets and contracts for assigned accounts.
- Develop quotations.
- Works closely with inside sales representatives to develop both new business while maintaining current business, as applicable; also directing and potentially supervising inside sales.
- Manage claim resolution and settlement.
- Travel up to 75%
QualificationsEducation and Experience- BS degree in Sales, Marketing or related discipline.
- 5+ years sales experience.
- Knowledge of specialty metals and tubing business.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels to achieve organizational goals.
Relocation Relocation is authorized for this position.
