Full Job Description
Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing an efficient and profitable Sales Department by achieving sales objectives, striving for guest retention and total guest satisfaction in the department.

This position is 100% on-site.

Monthly Base Salary of $5,859.00 plus incentive pay based on department performance. The average monthly range for this position is $7,128 to $16,420.

Essential Duties include the following; however, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Regularly exercise independent authority and discretion to recruit, train, manage and develop the Retail, Internet and Exchange Department's Sales Teams.
  • Regularly exercise independent authority and discretion to manage job performance of Sales Department staff.
  • Regularly exercise independent authority and discretion to establish goals and objectives for the Sales Department.
  • Regularly exercise independent authority and discretion to manage and monitor the Sales Department's performance using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveys.
  • Regularly exercise independent authority and discretion to develop policies and procedures related to Sales Department.
  • Control and manage costs and the profitability of the Sales Department.
  • Maintain and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that govern and affect the Sales Department.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, etc., and their benefits to guests.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, desired.
  • Minimum of one (2) year sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of vehicle leasing principles.
  • Basic mathematical concepts (such as adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying and percentages); equity values and depreciation; and laws that govern retain automotive sales.
  • Read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language.
  • Learn and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and be able to multitask.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
  • Must be able to learn quickly, be adaptable and able to handle a demanding environment.
  • Ability to multi-task projects, establish priorities, work independently and organize effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to:
  • Able to withstand outdoor weather.

  • Frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
