SummaryThe Sales Manager will report directly to the Senior Sales Director, New Business Development and is responsible for leading, managing, and maintaining strategic accounts for business development and sales activities. Work in conjunction with Operations and Commercial counterparts to grow a portfolio of book and bill business by developing leads and closing opportunities in a fast pace, high energy setting.
Primary Duties- Develop new customer accounts through cold calling and maintain an account call plan.
- Establish and maintain client relationships within the Power, Energy, and Industrial Sectors.
- Generate new sales leads while closing deals in the sales pipeline.
- Accurate revenue forecasting of deals in the pipeline and attaining individual financial goals to support annual revenue plan.
- Proficient at use of sales materials and facilitating presentations and stay current with products and services.
- Daily updates to the company Customer Relation Management System (CRM) for customer activity, account updates, contact information, and opportunities.
- Prompt preparation of a variety of status reports such as trip reports, win strategies, follow up meeting notes, weekly items of interest and turnover notes for adherence of expectations and goals.
- Collect data for competitive products, monitor market indicators, be aware of competitors strategy and gather all required customer information.
- Negotiate commercial terms, assist in validating credit worthiness of the client, and assist with collection of unpaid invoices.
Working RelationshipsExtensive collaboration with the sales team, our commercial and recruiting teams, as well as the subject matter experts across multiple lines of business within NAES to connect key clients with the internal personnel who will be performing the work. This wholistic approach fosters collaboration, ensuring clients achieve the ideal end to end solutions.
Compensation The initial compensation is $110,500 to $127,100
Job Qualifications:- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
- Years of Experience: Five years of progressive experience in power industry sales or other qualifying industry experience.
- Preferred Experience: Prior work directly with a utility, developer, owner or EPC, affording full comprehension of terminology used in the industry.
- Software/Equipment Knowledge: Microsoft Dynamics and Bullhorn

- Possess a professional presence and business acumen to effectively build relationships across the business, within the marketplace and directly with the client.
- Adept with developing and implementing Key Account Strategies designed to foster deep working business relationships that invite opportunities that expand across NAES portfolio of capabilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions- Physical demands include managing customer calls in a home office setting.
- Travel by car and plane to meet with customers in an industrial setting that may require the use of required safety equipment, climbing stairs and/or performing a site walkdown.
- Frequent travel of up to 30% (May be extensive at times).
