We are seeking a
Sales Manager to join the team in Connecticut. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of sales representatives, overseeing key customer accounts, and partnering with ownership to drive sales growth throughout New England. What You'll Do as the Sales Manager:- Lead, coach, and develop a team of three sales representatives while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
- Manage strategic customer relationships and oversee key accounts across Massachusetts and Connecticut, also some of Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont
- Work with ownership to establish sales goals, monitor performance, and execute growth strategies
- Oversee the sales process from opportunity through project completion, ensuring exceptional customer service and project execution
- Provide leadership through transparency, communication, and hands-on support for the sales team
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure customer expectations are met and business objectives are achieved
- Travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned territory to support customers and sales staff
Must-Haves as the Sales Manager:- Proven experience leading and developing sales teams
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to establish goals and execute measurable business objectives
- Ability to work collaboratively with ownership while maintaining transparency and accountability
- Willingness to travel throughout New England as needed
Nice-to-Haves as the Sales Manager:- Construction, aggregates or asphalt industry experience
- Business development or key account management experience
- Advanced computer and CRM proficiency
- Experience working with contractors, municipalities, or heavy civil construction customers
