Sales Manager - Building Solutions

Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Building and Construction Sales Manager to oversee and grow our Dry Mix product segment. In this role, you will manage large, global key accounts and drive technical sales strategy across premium industry manufacturers. This is a home-based position requiring a strong technical background, exceptional relationship-management skills, and the ability to travel across the territory to interface directly with major clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for large, global accounts.

  • Business Development & Growth: Drive sales volume and revenue targets within the Building and Construction dry mix sector (managing a significant territory portfolio of ~92K tons / $68M value).

  • Technical Sales Consultation: Utilize a strong technical background to understand client manufacturing needs, aligning product features and specifications with dry mix production requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal technical, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Territory Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan to maintain existing business while strategically identifying new market opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record in technical sales or account management within the building materials, chemical, or construction industries (specific experience with dry mix production or chemical additives is highly preferred).

  • Technical Background: Strong understanding of industrial formulations, technical product specifications, and manufacturing processes within the construction sector.

  • Location: Home-based role. Candidates should ideally be located in the Southeastern USA with convenient, reliable access to a major airport.

  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% to meet with key accounts and attend industry events.

  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; proficiency in managing multi-million dollar global corporate accounts.
