Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for being a key leader who motivate, mentor, and guide their teams to achieve ambitious goals. To train and support Sales Representatives in building new business relationships, expanding existing accounts, and driving growth within targeted customer segments. Each Sales Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities, generating leads, and collaborating with geographically aligned Sales Representatives to pursue prospects. They develop pricing strategies, create value-added selling tools, and manage the sales pipeline for their segment. Additionally, Sales Managers ensure that prospective accounts are consistently maintained and that their teams are empowered to succeed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting Sales Team in achieving or exceeding sales budgeted goals.
  • Responsible for day-to-day leadership of the sales team and all decisions and actions of personnel under his/her DC
  • Responsible for setting clear direction, guiding the team towards common goals and company objectives
  • Utilize current methods and tools to develop sales team on personal and professional basis (i.e., Sales Playback, Sales Bootcamp training, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Ensure business activity and development is managed through company required software programs
  • Build rapport and relationships with key customers
  • Responsible for embracing innovation and encourages their team to think creatively an adapt to new challenges
  • Be actively involved in community and business organizations
  • Establish objectives for sales team on promotions and major new products.
  • Assists with planning special events such as trade shows, banquets, and seminars
  • Additional duties or special projects as assigned.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in related sales or related experience, or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Background in foodservice or janitorial supplies a plus
  • High School Diploma required, college degree in sales/marketing or business preferred
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly
  • Physical Requirements: Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $140,000- $170,000 per year. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
