Primary FunctionThe Sales Manager is responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of sales strategies for retail and contractor customer channels in the Clean Water Center.
Responsibilities- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable law.
- Train, mentor and direct a team of retail sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and sales growth.
- In conjunction with the service manager, lead monthly water training classes for the service and sales departments.
- Coordinate retail and dealer sales activities with the Office Manager and Service Manager to ensure clear inter-department communication.
- Conduct regular job shadow with direct reports to assist in employee growth and ensuring adherence to company standards
- Ensure all company safety standards and processes to meet organizational policies, OSHA standards and minimize employee risk are adhered to by direct reports at all times.
- Provide direction and communication to employees so that customer wants are answered in timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner.
- Provide continual evaluation of sale department processes and procedures.
- Establish work procedures and processes that support company and department standards, procedures and strategic objectives
- Facilitate new processes, tools, communications, training and methodologies to ensure operational success in the sales department
- Collaborate with cross-functional managers to facilitate relationships between departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Determine how to position and sell core products and technologies through contractors, in-home sales, lead generation and sales management
- Provide in-field assistance to contractor customers via phone or in person to develop lasting partnerships built on superior customer service and trust.
- Work alongside the General Manager and Marketing team to facilitate new lead generation programs and campaigns.
- Conduct in-home sales consultations until a time when 3 or more Retail Project Coordinators are employed.
- Communicate appropriate information regarding department, customer, or employee issues to the General Manager, cross functional managers or HR
- Respond to and resolve employee relations' issues
- Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports
- Address disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy
- Coordinate and lead instruction of continuing education and service training classes to dealers
- Lead internal campaigns to grow dealer customer base.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license and proof of insurance. A background check is required.
- Experience in sales or new business development.
- Experience implementing professional service business models.
- Strong skills in the business development, account management and sales process.
- Proficiency in MS Office Products is required. Experience in Salesforce CRM is a plus.
