Role Overview: As the Sales Manager for our Agency Sign-Up team, you'll own the performance of a team responsible for moving prospective agencies from interest to active platform use. This is a conversion-focused sales leadership role: you'll set the standard for how we sell, coach your team to execute against it, and work cross-functionally to remove friction from the sign-up process. It's an ideal role for a sales leader who's energized by building repeatable sales motion, coaching reps to hit their numbers, and making a high-growth environment run cleanly.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sign-Up Specialists, setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback to help each rep grow.
- Own team conversion metrics: set targets, track performance against them, and identify the coaching or process interventions that move the needle.
- Build and reinforce a consistent, high-energy sales culture focused on urgency, follow-through, and delivering a strong first impression of the platform.
- Recruit, hire, and ramp new team members as the Sign-Up function scales.
- Standardize workflows and call processes to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability across the team.
- Generate momentum with prospective agencies during the sign-up process to drive activation and early platform utilization.
- Partner closely with the Onboarding team to ensure clean handoffs and alignment on what a well-activated agency looks like.
- Define and track KPIs including conversion rate, contact-to-activation ratios, and call/activity metrics; analyze trends and surface actionable insights for leadership.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior leadership on team results, key initiatives, and opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Operations to surface agent feedback and bring the right tools and resources to your team.
- Stay informed on carrier appetites, market trends, and the competitive landscape to keep the team's messaging sharp and relevant.
- Address escalations promptly and resolve issues that could slow or block an agency's path to activation.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in sales, sales leadership, insurance distribution, or a related field, with at least 2 years managing a sales team
- A track record of owning conversion or pipeline metrics and moving them in the right direction
- Strong coaching instincts, with the ability to develop reps at different experience levels through observation and specific feedback, not just encouragement

- Preferred Qualifications
- P&C license
- CPCU or CIC designation
