This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business.

The Sales Executive II will be responsible for initiating, directing and executing the sales strategy to generate, grow, and maximize World Courier6s business opportunities and sales. The Sales Executive II will work as a collaborative member of the sales team to create a customer-focused sales and marketing strategy that will achieve company revenue targets.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed the targeted plan revenue goal for the territory
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan in alignment with World Courier6s strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with the Regional sales team to develop and implement the organizational strategic plan and business unit strategies
  • Engender a positive culture within the sales team which focuses on cooperation, communication, efficiency and transparency.
  • Monitor and review key non-revenue objectives to ensure personal objectives are achieved and are specific, realistic and achievable.
  • Identify potential clients in the Biopharmaceutical and Clinical Trials - Specialty Logistics industries to be targeted for future marketing activities.
  • Visit potential clients to promote World Courier specialty logistics offerings and highlighting opportunities for partnerships.
  • Manage the budget within the sales portfolio area to ensure sales objectives are met and costs are controlled.
  • Seek opportunities to attend and present at relevant conferences, trade shows and events to market the services of World Courier.
  • Ensure the development of an ongoing communications program with each key client and continued client satisfaction and opportunities to grow the relationships are identified.
  • Coordinate World Courier advertising within designated portfolios and measure effectiveness and outcomes to guide future adverting efforts.
  • Maintain activity in Salesforce to ensure proper tracking of activities, meetings, pipeline opportunities, new business secured and ongoing relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor6s Degree program.
  • 6-8 years of experience in delivering high-quality, relevant selling services.
  • Sales experience, general sales expertise, and account-based sales experience preferred.
  • Experience selling to or working with personnel in pharmaceutical or the medical logistics industry is also preferred.

Minimum Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, for the purpose of preparing proposals, reports, and customer presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain productive, cooperative, and interdependent working and business relationships.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • Strong creativity skills; with particular emphasis on creative problem solving.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other software programs and tools necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs.
  • Ability to travel.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/NewYork/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
