Full Job Description
WANTED

A sales engineer who has spent real time in the weeds of platform engineering and knows how to turn that depth into closed deals. You have 10+ years in the field and you can sit across from a skeptical VP of Engineering, understand the mess their developers are actually living with, and map a path out of it that the buying committee believes.

Tensure builds internal developer platforms for FinServ and FinTech teams on AWS, GCP, and Azure. The work is real: Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, the developer experience layer that decides whether a hundred engineers ship in a day or wait a week. You will be the person in the room who can speak to all of it without hand-waving, and who knows when to say "I'd want one of our architects to confirm that" instead of guessing.

What we're looking for:

- You've helped close complex, multi-stakeholder deals, and you can point to specific ones.

- You go deep on platform and DevOps - containers and orchestration, Terraform or similar, pipelines, observability, the internal developer platform pattern - and you can demo and whiteboard it live.

- You know how to be the expert and, just as important, when to defer. Nobody trusts the person who's never unsure.

- You sweat the small things. The follow-up that lands on time, the diagram that's actually clear, the polish that tells a prospect we'll be good to work with.

- You can make the value land for both the engineer and the CFO, and translate fluently between them.

You'll also help shape where we take our platform practice and our partnerships - this isn't a seat where you just run the playbook handed to you.

REWARD

- 100% remote

- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance

- We put 3% of your base into a 401(k) whether or not you contribute a dime

- 5 weeks PTO, 10 company holidays, and 2 weeks set aside for certifications

- Transparent pay

HOW

- Send your resume if the above sounds like you.

- A first screening conversation.

- A technical screening test to weed out the folks that think Docker is a guy working at the marina.

- A technical interview - pairing, case studies, and the occasional "how would you approach this" scenario.

- A conversation with the team you'd work alongside.

- A culture and values interview.

- An offer by email, or a decline with real feedback. Either way you'll hear back.
