Job Description

Shift: 1st shift

Days of Work: Monday – Friday

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00 pm

Work Location: On-site (North Mankato, MN)

Starting Salary: $72,600 to $108,900 Annually

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:

In this role, the Sales Engineer maintains a high-level knowledge of their segment(s) product offerings and awareness of competing products/services, discount and pricing structures, and overall strengths and weaknesses in order to determine how best to service and motivate customers. They are the main contact internally and externally as it relates to sales engineer tasks within their segment(s).

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Suggest solutions in a timely mannerand present quotations to key customer(s)

  • Research key customer wantsand needs, and suggest solutions

  • Negotiate anddraft comprehensive written proposals for the sale of products

  • Maintains an updated sales funnel and participate in regular sales reviews

  • Serve as contact point for key customers and internal teams

  • Resolve customers' complaints in aneffective and respectful way

  • Visit customer locations as appropriate to develop relationships

  • Attend applicable trade shows and conferences

  • Gather, report and communicate customers' feedback on service, technology and product delivery

  • Measure, track and analyze key account metrics

  • Create reports for upper management

  • Keep abreast with industry andmarket trends and best practices

  • Identify bottlenecks in the sales process

Experience/Skills:

  • 2-4 Years of experience preferred

  • Previous relevant working experience

  • Experience in sales and customer services will be an advantage

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Aptitude in networking and building relationships

  • Excellent time and  project management skills

  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines

  • Problem-solving and negotiation aptitude

Education:

  • BS in Business, Engineering or similar relevant field or BA in relevant field with sufficient industry experience
