Full Job Description
Job Purpose

The Salesforce Sales Cloud Product Owner is responsible for shaping, prioritizing, and driving the Sales Cloud roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders, External Solution Integration teams, and other Product Owners. The role acts as the bridge between business priorities and Salesforce delivery, ensuring that requirements are clearly understood, solutions are practical, and delivered capabilities improve user experience, process consistency, customer engagement, and revenue growth. The Product Owner is expected to understand Sales Cloud functionality well enough to challenge assumptions, support solution design conversations, validate proposed approaches, and ensure delivered work meets the agreed business outcome. The role will also help standardize Salesforce capabilities, governance, and engagement models across lines of business, working with other Product Owners to define common processes, ownership, and strategy.

Hybrid Schedule: Reading, PA; remote Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tuesday through Thursday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Cloud Product Owner has direct supervisory responsibility for Salesforce administration resources assigned to the Sales Cloud platform and is responsible for providing day to day direction, prioritization, coaching, performance feedback, and development support.

The role is also responsible for managing and coordinating activities performed by external Salesforce Solution Integrators and consulting partners. This includes defining priorities, reviewing deliverables, ensuring adherence to EnerSys standards and governance processes, validating quality, managing budgets where applicable, and holding partners accountable for the successful delivery of agreed outcomes.

COMPETENCIES:
  • Product Ownership and Prioritization: Own the Sales Cloud roadmap and backlog. Define priorities, manage competing demands, write or review user stories and acceptance criteria, and make informed trade-off decisions based on business value, technical complexity, risk, and capacity.
  • Salesforce Platform Knowledge: Maintain a strong working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, including core CRM functionality, reporting, automation, security, permissions, and configuration concepts. The Product Owner is not expected to be a Salesforce Administrator or Developer, but must be capable of understanding how solutions are configured, reviewing proposed designs, challenging implementation approaches, and validating delivered functionality.
  • Solution Delivery: Partner with administrators, developers, architects, business analysts, and implementation partners to translate business requirements into practical, scalable, and supportable Salesforce solutions. Actively participate in sprint reviews, UAT preparation, testing, and release readiness activities to ensure delivered functionality meets business expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across the business, understand operational challenges and priorities, communicate progress clearly, and facilitate alignment between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Governance and Continuous Improvement: Support platform governance, release management, documentation standards, adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay current with Salesforce capabilities, relevant business processes, and CRM best practices.
