Job Summary:The Sales Application Engineer plays a critical role in supporting customers and driving business growth by delivering technical solutions that meet customer requirements. In this customer-facing position, you wil collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams to develop proposals, support customer inquiries, process orders, and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams.
- Respond to customer inquiries and support product selection, applications, pricing, and order status.
- Review RFQs and develop accurate quotations and technical proposals.
- Process and manage customer orders within ERP systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful order execution.
- Develop bills of material and manufacturing documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Support, Inside Sales, Customer Support, or related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- 1-2 years experience with AutoCad drawings of varying complexity
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
Desired Qualifications:- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
- Experience with ERP and order management systems preferred.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent technical problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.
