Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of product design experience using solid modeling tools (Inventor preferred)
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
• Basic understanding of acoustics and vehicle chassis systems (preferred)
• Six Sigma knowledge/skills and basic .NET programming knowledge (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Work with account management/customers to develop fluid flow system layouts and resolve issues
• Design and integrate exhaust products/systems for both on-highway and off-highway markets
• Generate and maintain detailed models and Bill of Materials for designs
• Create product specifications including 2D prints and engineering documents
• Coordinate technical support activities like mechanical design and testing
• Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize designs for cost and manufacturability
• Maintain project schedules and manage customer print conformance processes
• Travel to customer and supplier sites for testing and technology presentations
