What you will be doing:The Sales Application Engineer serves as a bridge between the customer and the technical team, translating customers' needs into technical specifications that meet the customer's expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for prospective clients.
- Assist in writing proposals, bids, and technical documentation.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for engineering or product development teams, including System Single Line Diagram, Panel General Arrangements, and Preliminary Bill of Materials and Bill of Labors.
- Provide training to sales staff in technical product knowledge.
- Support clients in developing scope of work including product selection, installation, commissioning, PLC/HMI programming and control narrative.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, improving application functionality based on client feedback.
What we need from you:- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in high-mix, low-volume VFD, MCC, Switchgear, and Automation & Control.
- Intermediate AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN user.
- Experience in a fast-paced high-mix, low-volume manufacturing industry is an asset. In depth understanding of design standardization, configurable for custom products.
- Significant experience in sales and application engineering.
- Experience using NetSuite would also be an asset.
