Full Job Description
Job Title: Sales & Partnerships Manager

Organization: XC New York
Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Full-time, year-round
Reports To: XC New York General Manager

About the Role

XC New York is hiring a Sales & Partnerships Manager to drive sponsorship and partnership revenue by identifying prospective partners, developing opportunities and securing new agreements across approved commercial assets.

XC New York's commercial model includes sponsorship and partnerships, content and media, events and hospitality, and merchandise and licensing. This role will focus first on sponsorship and partnership revenue while helping identify future opportunities as the business grows. As an early-stage commercial hire, this person will also help build and refine XC New York's sponsorship offering, including packaging inventory, pressure-testing pricing, incorporating market feedback and helping develop year-round partnership programs across the Winter and Summer seasons.

Reporting to the XC New York General Manager, this person will manage business development from outreach through negotiation and close. The role will also work with UNA Management on coordination, pricing guidance, league requirements and approvals.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and cultivate prospective local, regional and national sponsors and partners.
  • Lead outreach, discovery, proposal development, presentations, negotiation and agreement execution.
  • Develop relationships with brand, marketing, media, agency and corporate decision-makers.
  • Create and present partnership programs that connect partner objectives with approved team and league assets.
  • Help translate league-provided assets and tier frameworks into XC New York-specific packages - including pricing rationale, comparable-deal research and partner-ready sales materials.
  • Achieve agreed-upon activity and revenue goals.
  • Coordinate with the General Manager, UNA Management and league representatives to confirm rights, approvals, prohibited categories, handoff requirements and compliance with XGL Team Sponsorship Rules before agreements are finalized.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and represent XC New York at competitions, industry events, community gatherings and networking opportunities.

Qualifications
  • 5 to 8 years of successful sales experience in sponsorships, sports, entertainment, media, experiential marketing, events or a related field.
  • Proven ability to develop proposals, negotiate and secure sponsorship, media or partnership business.
  • Existing relationships with brand marketers, agencies or corporate decision-makers preferred.
  • Previous sponsorship or partnership sales experience at the team/club property level strongly preferred, with a strong understanding of the sports landscape and insight into how other properties and teams have built successful sponsorship programs; candidates without direct property-level experience will still be considered.
  • Experience shaping or launching a sponsorship program, pricing structure or sales offering from scratch - not solely executing against an established one.
  • Strong presentation, writing, negotiation, communication and organizational skills, with comfort using CRM tools, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Good judgment, persistence and patience when managing longer sales cycles, multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines.
  • Genuine interest in action sports and culture, with ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends around competitions and partner activations.

Growth Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who wants to help build a sales program from the ground up, with potential opportunities to support UNA Emerging Sports as the business grows.

To Apply

Please submit a résumé and brief introduction describing your sponsorship, media or partnership sales experience, including examples of relevant partnerships or agreements.
