This position is a Fulltime Monday-Friday, Rotating Weekends and Holidays!

RESPONSIBILITES:
The Non-invasive Cardiology Nurse will assist the Department in providing high quality care to non-invasive, cardiac testing patients. Plan and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. The Non-invasive Cardiology Nurse will be proficient in monitoring and patient assessment and Pre/Intra/Post care particular to the patients in the Non-Invasive Cardiology department and be competent in the management of patients undergoing Cardioversion, Trans Esophageal ECHO, and all types of Stress Testing. The Non-Invasive RN will coordinate the schedule with cardiology, anesthesia and the various specialties for both the inpatient and outpatient population. In addition he/she will provide support to non-RN personnel.
- Perform and assist with cardiac stress testing
- Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure nursing care for TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram) and Cardioversion patients
- Care for inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients with a focus on safety, education, and outcomes
- Accurately obtain and interpret 12‑lead EKGs
- Monitor patients for hemodynamic stability and respond appropriately to changes
- Educate patients and families on heart health, disease prevention, and health maintenance
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, technologists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver person‑centered care
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid license as Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred; will consider candidates with a plan to pursue BSN or BSN in progress.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Minimum of one-year nursing experience required.
Cardiology experience strongly preferred (Non‑Invasive, Critical Care, Telemetry, or Cath Lab experience a plus)
