Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Safety Technician based out of our Cerritos office. This role will be responsible for providing safety oversight across multiple sites.

Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of the Safety Manager, promote acceptance of sound safety practices and encourage full participation of all company personnel throughout operations.
  • Build relationships with all levels of field employees to educate and balance environmental, health & safety requirements with production goals to ensure compliance with safety-related regulations, systems, and practices.
  • Perform random inspections of job sites, facilities, equipment, vehicles, and investigations.
  • Solve safety related problems on the work site.
  • Immediately work to resolve identified problems by providing specific advice for correction actions to the General Superintendent, Superintendent, Foreman or other worker(s) as appropriate.
  • Recommend safety-related programs, activities, and recognition for employees.
  • Deliver various types of Environmental, Health & Safety training to all levels of employees.


Qualifications
  • Have or working toward an OHS certificate, diploma, university degree or related education.
  • 2 or more years of related field experience in a construction environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and take ownership of work.
  • Familiar with office reporting and technical writing.
  • Familiar with Federal and State Environmental, Health & Safety regulations.
  • Previous experience with Safety COR audits and the ability to obtain COR Auditor certification.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% and to be on site at least 80% of the time.

  • Ability to facilitate CPR.
