Safety Technician

Location: Northern CO
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $38.00-$50.00+ per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift |

As a Safety Technician, you'll work alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel to promote a strong safety culture, ensure OSHA compliance, and help every employee return home safely each day. What You'll Do

As a Safety Technician, your responsibilities will include:
  • Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and document findings.
  • Assist with implementing and enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety standards.
  • Lead new hire safety orientations and assist with ongoing safety training.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.
  • Perform hazard assessments and assist crews in developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage events, documenting corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor fall protection, excavation, confined space, lockout/tagout, and other high-risk activities.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.
  • Assist with safety audits and client compliance requirements.
  • Promote a positive, proactive safety culture across all projects.

Qualifications

Required
  • 1-3 years of construction safety experience (commercial construction preferred)
  • Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technology
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel to regional jobsites

Preferred
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • CHST or STSC certification (or working toward certification)
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, or mechanical construction
  • Knowledge of safety management software
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
