SAFETY MANAGER

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of professional hands-on experience as a Safety Manager and/or Technician/Automation Manager.
  • 5+ years of experience building complex non-standardized equipment or products.
  • A passion for keeping employees safe while working on complex equipment & electrical wiring.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style.
  • Up to 10% of travel may be required between locations.
  • Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Background checks are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of safety and/or quality assurance practices related to mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring or testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD models, drawings, electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics, and work instructions.
  • Experience managing lab or shop workflows, tools, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical panel building experience to UL 508 standards.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 and 79.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven consulting environment.
  • College-level education, preference for management or technical focus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage safety and quality on custom automation builds.
  • Create process documentation as needed to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Lead and manage technicians supporting mechanical, electrical, and system-level builds and testing.
  • Oversee day-to-day lab and shop operations, including scheduling, workload balancing, and priorities. Work through resourcing issues with the management team with grace and candor.
  • Ensure adherence to Andrews Cooper standards, safety practices, and quality processes.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance for assembly, troubleshooting, and test activities.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to support project execution and delivery timelines.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop technicians through feedback, training, and career growth support.

The salary range for this position is based on national rates. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base Salary: $80,000.00 - $135,000.00.
