The Safety Manager II plays a key leadership role in driving a proactive safety culture by partnering closely with project and department leadership to identify and control hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities. This individual leads the development and delivery of site specific and companywide safety orientation and training programs, ensuring all team members are properly equipped with the knowledge and tools required to work safely. They provide oversight and guidance in project pre planning efforts, including leading Safety Task Analysis (STA) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) processes prior to mobilization, and support teams in the safe execution of high risk activities. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent application of safety policies and procedures through regular audits, inspections, and compliance tracking, while continuously evaluating safety performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
In addition, the Safety Manager II mentors and develops safety professionals and project teams, serving as a trusted resource and leader across assigned projects. They lead accident investigations, manage documentation, and coordinate with internal and external partners on workers' compensation cases, with a focus on minimizing risk and preventing loss time incidents. This role also oversees project level safety planning, performance metrics, and staffing needs to ensure alignment with project goals and company standards. By fostering strong relationships both internally and within the broader construction community, the Safety Manager II promotes collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability, while leading by example and supporting the overall development of a high performing safety team.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$158,000.00 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction management or other related field required. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least five years' experience in construction and/or industrial safety required.
  • First aid and/or CPR certification preferred.
  • Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred.
  • A valid driver's license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons' ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.
Nice to Have
  • Experience on healthcare or other highly regulated projects such as OSHPD or HCAI.
  • Experience leading Safety Task Analysis and Job Hazard Analysis during preconstruction planning.
  • Experience supporting high risk activity planning and serving as a safety mentor for project teams.
