Full Job Description
Salary: DOE
Salary: Depending on Experience

Status: Full time, exempt
Reports to: HSE Regional Manager
Travel Requirements: 50% (ability to travel outside of region)
Schedule: Local schedule with required flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in alignment with operational demands.
Work Location: Local to Williston, ND and surrounding areas, with potential travel to other operational basins as needed. All new hire training will be based in Zelienople, PA.
Work Environment: This role requires working in the office, shop and field environments across multiple operating regions.

Safety Manager
The Safety Manager works within the Operational Excellence function, providing oversight and support to field operations to ensure compliance with company policies, customer expectations, and regulatory safety standards. This role is responsible for driving safe work practices, conducting audits and inspections, leading incident investigations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

This position is best suited for individuals with prior HSE experience in oil and gas or a comparable industry. While not intended as an entry-level role, consideration may be given to highly qualified candidates with strong operational backgrounds in snubbing, completions, or related oilfield experience.

Duties
  • Perform regular jobsite and facility visits to conduct audits, verifications, and safety observations
  • Engage with field personnel to provide coaching, feedback, and reinforcement of safe work practices
  • Conduct inspections of safety-critical equipment including rigging, fall protection, air monitoring, and PPE
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation in accordance with company and industry standards
  • Recommend improvements to processes, procedures, and equipment to enhance workplace safety
  • Deliver safety training in both field and classroom settings and ensure employee understanding of requirements
  • Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
  • Support post-incident management and provide guidance to field leadership
  • Participate in customer meetings, internal reviews, and industry functions
  • Facilitate safety meetings, committee reviews, and safety initiatives
  • Support project management efforts related to safety programs and company initiatives
  • Maintain and manage safety equipment inventory
  • Conduct risk assessments for standard operating procedures
  • Assist with training programs related to equipment operation, hazard recognition, and PPE usage
  • Administer drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelor's degree in safety or relevant industry experience
Certifications: OSHA or other safety-related certifications preferred

Experience:
2-3 years of HSE experience in oil and gas or a comparable industry (construction or similar) preferred
Strong consideration given to candidates with extensive snubbing, completions, or oilfield operational experience, even without direct HSE background

Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to meet company driving requirements
  • Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and physical (if applicable)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
  • Stand, walk, and perform job duties for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching
  • Work in both office and field environments, including exposure to varying and potentially harsh weather conditions
  • Ability to wear required PPE at all times in designated areas
