Climate Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to manage the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program at the field level for five of our branches in Charlotte, Hickory, and Asheville, North Carolina. This position will conduct documented site visits, provide training and coaching to field staff, and support safe work practices across assigned operations. The Safety Manager will report to the Safety Director.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct on-site inspections and safety audits.
• Ensure project safety adherence, performance, and compliance.
• Review project site forms and data.
• Assist personnel in performing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Safety Observations.
• Ensure subcontractors are following OSHA requirements and PSG policies at a minimum.
• Monitor the performance of safety-critical tasks.
• Work with contractors to ensure proper safety best practices are being implemented.
• Represent PSG's best interests at all times as they relate to site health and safety.
• Follow up on safety incidents and near misses and conduct investigations.
• Conduct safety orientation for personnel as needed.
• Provide training in areas such as forklifts, scissor lifts, fall protection, and CPR.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field, or seven years of relevant experience with a certification such as the CHST.
• 7+ years of experience in a full-time Safety Professional role.
• Construction industry experience is required.
• OSHA 500 / Authorized OSHA Instructor for Construction is a plus.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification is required.
• General Industry experience is a plus.
• HVAC experience is a plus.
• Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
• CPR Instructor certification is a plus.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, energetic, and action-oriented approach.
• Strong team player who can work effectively with leadership, employees, and clients.
• Ability to recognize hazards and identify and implement effective solutions.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.
• Ability to pass state and federal criminal background checks.
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug test.

• Ideally located in the Charlotte, North Carolina area or surrounding region.

Physical Demands
• Regularly uses hands and fingers to operate objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to stand, talk, and hear for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to move intermittently throughout the day, including walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
• May be required to sit at a computer station or desk for prolonged periods of time, up to eight hours per day.
• Regularly required to read, count, and write to accurately complete position documentation.
• Driving and travel are required for this position.
Travel
60-70% travel will be required for this position.
Compensation
$85,000-$105,000 annually, plus a 5% bonus.
