Position SummarySamsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for a motivated Safety Professional who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. Role and ResponsibilitiesHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:- Implement and manage safety compliance programs in adherence to federal, state and local regulations.
- Manage Contractors Safety Management program for contractor pre-qualification, onboarding, high-risk restricted work permit (RWP) oversight, and cross-contractor safety alignment.
- Ability to anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a semiconductor facility.
- Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; and advise and educate others.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
- Evaluation of task performance to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
- Document and track results to support safety program elements.
- Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, identify root cause, determine corrective actions, and support implementation.
- Conduct employee training for education on site safety requirements.
- Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with safety sub-committee.
- Review and audit pre-task plans, site risk analyses and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with the daily management of the tiered auditing program including closure of facility's preventative and corrective action plans.
Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or Studies, Engineering or Risk Management, with 8-10 years' experience required.
- Master's degree, professional EHS certification such as CSP preferred.
- Experience working with contractor pre-qualification software such as Highwire, Avetta, ISNetworld or similar preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines
- Preference for experience in General Industry and Construction at a semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) facility.
The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
