Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences or related field.
• 10-12 years' experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), with a focus on people management.
• Certifications in CPR and First Aid required; advanced safety certifications preferred (OSHA 10/30/40, OSHA 500, CHST, ASP).
• Strong communication skills for conveying safety protocols across various organizational levels.
• Expert knowledge of workplace safety regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and DOT standards.
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills for managing program implementation within budget and timelines.
• Ability to foster a proactive safety culture through effective coaching.

Responsibilities

• Direct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EH&S standards across multiple regions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive employee safety training programs and documentation.
• Participate in the development and execution of safety strategies for the division.
• Oversee accidents and incident investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and corrective actions.
• Manage site-specific safety programs and identify compliance deficiencies.
• Act as the main safety advisor for the division, selecting safety equipment for various jobs.
• Lead and mentor safety department personnel and project managers on specialized activities.
