Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and facilitate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) across cross-functional teams. The RTE serves as the chief Scrum Master for the ART, driving execution, fostering Agile best practices, removing impediments, and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, Agile transformation, program management, and stakeholder management skills within large-scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Release Train Leadership
• Facilitate ART events including PI Planning, ART Sync, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and other SAFe ceremonies.
• Coordinate and support multiple Agile teams to ensure successful delivery of program objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams and the ART.
• Monitor and manage program risks, dependencies, and impediments across teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Product Owners, System Architects, and Business Owners to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives.
• Track and report program progress, predictability, and delivery metrics.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, product management, engineering teams, and leadership.
• Provide transparent communication regarding program status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate decision-making and escalation management when necessary.
• Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams on Agile and SAFe principles.
• Promote Lean-Agile mindset and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Support organizational Agile maturity and transformation initiatives.
• Identify, manage, and resolve cross-team dependencies.
• Facilitate risk management processes and drive effective mitigation plans.
• Ensure alignment between delivery commitments and organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports related to ART health.
• Analyze velocity, predictability, quality, and delivery metrics.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 14+ years of experience in IT with understanding of SDLC and technical stacks in the market.
• 5+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer, Senior Scrum Master, Agile Program Manager, or equivalent role.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
• Experience managing large-scale Agile programs involving multiple teams.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
• Experience with Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or equivalent.

• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification.
• SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certification.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or CSP certifications.
• Experience working within regulated or complex enterprise environments.

Experience: 8-10 Years.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $173,800 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
