Description The Senior Technical Professional is responsible for the engineering and technical deliverables and activities on ongoing projects. Responsible for independently applying advanced techniques and analysis within the discipline/project.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities - Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned scope of work.
- Formulating discipline specific parameters and assigning responsibilities to the correct subordinates and monitoring progress.
- Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and relaying the information to the team.
- Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and reporting on the status of deliverables and activities.
- Cooperating, collaborating and communicating with the Project Manager and other project participants to create more efficient project methods.
- Reviewing specific tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
- Developing specifications as required for the project.
- Ensuring compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- 10 or more years field and project planning experience.
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
- The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Excellent project management and supervision skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
- Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
Work Environmental and Physical Demands- Spends 80% of the time in an office environment.
- Is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
