Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and strategic
Rock Crusher Superintendent to join our company. In this leadership role, you will oversee multiple mobile crushing operations/plants for producing hot asphalt products across Arizona. You will be directly responsible for site safety, production efficiency, quality control, and ensuring all material gradations precisely align with complex asphalt mix designs, including Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA).
Location: Prescott, AZ (with statewide travel)
Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 / year + Lucrative Performance-Based Bonus

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Operations Leadership: Oversee and coordinate the deployment, operations, and regular mobilization/relocation of multiple mobile aggregate crushing plants across Arizona.
- Mix Design & Gradation Tracking: Manage, monitor, and adjust crusher gradations to meet precise specifications for various asphalt mix designs, specifically including Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) and highway / public works mixes.
- Quarry & Resource Management: Utilize your deep industry knowledge of existing and future Arizona quarry sources to map out production, logistics, and material availability.
- Quality Control & Testing: Partner closely with QC technicians to implement rigorous testing protocols, ensuring aggregate products meet structural, state, and local standards.
- Environmental & Safety Compliance: Ensure full operational compliance with ADEQ air quality regulations, including EPA Method 9 weekly/monthly visible emissions & opacity readings. Enforce strict adherence to MSHA regulations, plant lock-out/tag-out, and company safety policies.
- Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and train crew members, operators, and mechanics, coordinating preventative maintenance plans to minimize plant downtime.
Position Qualifications & Requirements- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of aggregate crushing experience specifically within the state of Arizona, demonstrating a strong operational foothold in the regional market.
- Industry Specific Bachelor's degree -or- equivalent: Prefer relevant civil engineering studies or extensive work history equivalent.
- Certifications:MSHA Certification and formal EPA Method 9 Opacity Training/Certification will be required upon hire.
- Technical Knowledge: Absolute mastery of aggregate gradations, quality control (QC) testing procedures, and specialized asphalt mix designs (e.g., SMA).
- Regulatory Compliance: Deep technical understanding of MSHA safety standards and ADEQ air quality permit standards for aggregate processing.
- Source Awareness: Proven familiarity with current and future Arizona aggregate and quarry supply sources.
- Travel Flexibility: Must be willing to travel overnight throughout Arizona to visit various project sites as production demands dictate.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
