JOB SUMMARY
The ROC Engineer role is based out of the Irving, TX Officeinside the Remote Operations Center, reporting to the ROC Manager. The primaryresponsibility is provide process engineering support for the ROC.
Essential Functions
Support the 24/7 Remote Operations Center for expert operations support include production planning, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Solve complex problems working with manufacturing staff, contractors, suppliers and customers.
Optimize plant performance by tracking performance data and implementing the best operating plan for all respective plants
Productivity and reliability performance assessments, (Lean 6s, Engineering disciplines, CMMS, P&L statements, ROI, etc.)
Train ROC Operators and ASU Technicians on ASU Operation, Process Safety and Individual Plant Procedures
Advanced business information system development (power BI)
Follow all aspects of change management (P&IDs, EMOC, etc.)
Failure analysis and corrective action plans, (RCFA, FTA/C&E, 8D, Pareto, fishbone, affinity, etc.)
Engineering safety, quality, and reliability risk assessment, (DMAIC, HAZOP, FMEA, RAM, C&E, LOPA, etc.)
Reliability best practice development and compliance enforcement. (Specifications, Standards, and Policies)
Accurate, organized, and on-time administrative reporting (reports, schedule, tasks, time, costs, etc.)
Assist with starting and stopping of plant machinery and processes in a safe manner as dictated by operating conditions and business needs

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor'sDegree in Chemical Engineering Required
Work Experience
1-5 years ChemicalPlant Engineering Experience Preferred
1-5 years ASUOperations Experience Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong technical and analytical proficiency with the ability to multi-task effectively and thrive in a team environment
Knowledge of ASU process theory and related equipment associated with the process.
Ability to effectively communicate through excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Proficient in organizational skills.Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and multi-task.
Comprehensive knowledge reading PFD, P&ID and PLC drawings
Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Power BI
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Working Condition: ROCEngineer portion of role will be performed primarily in an office environment,requiring extensive daily usage of a computer, and other office equipment.
Working Condition: TheRemote Operation Center is a 24/7 facility that requires a flexible schedule,requiring night and/or weekend support.
Working Condition: FieldCoverage will potentially occur where ever Matheson has a facility, and duringany season.
Physical Demands: Occasionallylift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Physical Demands: Specificvision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depthperceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Condition: Thisrole will be performed in office environments as well as in industrial fieldenvironments. While performing duties of this job it would occasionally berequired to:
• Be exposedto moving mechanical parts and extreme cold (e.g. operating plant).
• Be exposedto outside weather conditions (e.g. cold box valves, filling trailers).
• Be exposedto high, precarious places (e.g. cold box, repair work)
Be exposed to high noise levels (e.g. Plant rounds,maintenance)
Working Condition: Mayalso be required to work from a home location, which must be conducive toperforming the role and duties, including virtual/video meetings.
