Position OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced
Millwright (Rotating Equipment) Planner to support outage preparation activities within a polypropylene unit. This role will focus on developing detailed work scope for rotating equipment in preparation for a
Q2 2027 outage, ensuring all maintenance activities are properly planned, resourced, and execution-ready.
This is a contract opportunity with an initial planning scope through the end of the year, with strong potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed job plans for rotating equipment, including pumps, mixers, and extruders
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to define scope and execution strategy
- Build and maintain work orders, task lists, and job plans within SAP (PM module)
- Identify and procure required materials, tools, and specialized equipment
- Create detailed work packages, including labor estimates, sequencing, and safety considerations
- Support outage planning and scheduling efforts to ensure readiness for execution
- Provide field support during outage execution, including troubleshooting and plan adjustments
- Work closely with millwright crews and contractors to ensure efficient execution of planned work
Required Qualifications- Proven experience as a Millwright or Rotating Equipment Planner in a heavy industrial or petrochemical environment
- Strong working knowledge of rotating equipment, specifically mixers and extruders within a polypropylene unit
- Proficiency with SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM) for planning and work order management
- Demonstrated experience developing detailed job plans for equipment maintenance and outages
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, precision alignment, and rotating equipment maintenance practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
