What We're Looking For
HNTB's Lake Mary office is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team that works on some of the most complex projects in Florida for FDOT and a variety of local government clients. We are dedicated to enhancing our communities, solving infrastructure challenges for our client.

As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate and deliver transportation engineering projects within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through project closeout. These projects can range from small intersection and multimodal corridor improvement projects to large interchanges, multimodal improvements, low impact bridge construction projects and feasibility projects. Duties include roadway design, development of cost estimates, specifications, corridor modelling, public engagement, and feasibility and express design development. Our team's approach is to confidently deliver performance on every project and deliver projects with quality work, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction.

What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for the planning and distribution of discipline-specific work, and adherence to the schedule and budget on projects.
  • Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
  • Assists with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within discipline.
  • Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team's work within the technical discipline. Guides and mentors team to overall project objectives.
  • Coordinates technical aspects of project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.
  • Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience

  • Applies experience to engage with diverse public clients.


What We Prefer:
  • FDOT Experience.
  • PE license.
