As the
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will assist in leading and guiding our nursing services team to ensure the highest level of care for our residents. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and company policies. Your role will be instrumental in supporting best practices for the delivery of care and contributing to the development and revision of care objectives to guarantee optimal outcomes for all residents.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the leadership and supervision of nursing services and staff to ensure compliance with all regulations and quality care standards.
- Supporting the DON in developing and revising care plans and nursing practices to ensure the highest level of care is maintained.
- Providing training and guidance to nursing staff in accordance with company policies and best practices.
- Participating in the coordination of care and overseeing daily nursing operations.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care.
- Promoting and maintaining a culture of safety and quality care throughout the facility.
Must Have:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Graduation from an approved RN program
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to long-term care settings
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience as an ADON, RN Manager, Charge Nurse, or Unit Manager
- 3-5 years of nursing supervisory experience in the provision of direct care to multiple residents
- Experience in Skilled Nursing environment
- Nursing degree from an accredited college
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC)
