Job Description:

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Evaluates the quality of patient care and outcomes based on administered treatments.
  • Accepts responsibility for professional standards, including maintaining competencies and attending mandatory meetings.
  • Reviews chart for new or pending orders and tasks at least every two hours.
  • Initiates and signs off physician orders promptly.
  • Performs comprehensive assessments of patients, including head-to-toe evaluations and reassessments as per policy.
  • Anticipates and addresses patient care issues, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Recognizes and interprets abnormal diagnostic data, including lab results, drug levels, and radiologic data.
  • Educates patients and families about new medications, including effects and potential side effects.
  • Formulates and updates goal-directed plans of care based on patient needs and standards of care.
  • Administers treatments and medications safely and accurately, using appropriate technology.
  • Maintains aseptic technique and demonstrates knowledge of infection control practices.
