Job Description
Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse
Profession: Registered Nurse

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8H Days
Hours per Shift: 8 hours, Monday - Friday, typically 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, but extended hours may be required
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Valid nursing license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have:
Sedation medications experience
Cardiac arrest management experience
STEMI call experience with mechanical support (IABP, Impella)
Experience with common cardiac procedures
Level 1-2 experience preferred
R heart catheterization experience preferred
ICU or ER background preferred
Description:
This position is in a high-volume cardiac cath lab.
The role involves managing complex and critical patients, including those undergoing TAVR, STEMI interventions, and various catheterization procedures.
The RN circulates, monitors, and administers sedation medications during procedures.
Experience with cardiac catheterizations, mechanical support devices, and advanced cardiac procedures is important.
The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists and other nursing staff.
Call responsibilities are required, with a team rotation system for weekday and weekend coverage.
The RN will use an electronic medical record system for documentation and will have access to necessary equipment for patient care.
Specific orientation will be provided for unit and practice standards.
This position may involve rare floating to assist in pre-operative settings.
