RN Rapid Response Lead
Full Time, Day Shift, No WeekendsJob Summary and QualificationsThe Rapid Response RN supports high-quality, patient-centered care by providing expert clinical assessment, intervention, and coordination for patients experiencing actual or potential clinical deterioration within the hospital setting. The RN responds to and assists with emergency events, including Rapid Response activations, Code Blue events, stroke alerts, STEMI Alerts, sepsis alerts, massive transfusion events, and other critical situations. The RN serves as a clinical resource and leader and an advocate for patients/families/caregivers.
What you will do in this role:- Responds rapidly and effectively to emergency situations, utilizing advanced clinical judgment, critical thinking, and evidence-based interventions.
- Assesses patients exhibiting signs of clinical deterioration and initiates timely interventions to prevent adverse outcomes.
- Conducts proactive patient surveillance and rounding activities to identify patients at risk for clinical decline and facilitate early intervention.
- Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members during emergency response, resuscitation efforts, and critical patient care situations.
- Provides bedside consultation, coaching, and clinical support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Assists with advanced procedures and interventions within scope of practice, including vascular access and emergency stabilization measures as applicable.
- Facilitates communication among patients, families, providers, and healthcare team members during emergent and complex clinical situations.
- Participates in post-event debriefings, educational activities, and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and emergency response effectiveness.
- Serves as a mentor and clinical resource for nursing staff, promoting professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Supports organizational quality, patient safety, and patient experience initiatives.
- Maintains required competencies and participates in ongoing professional development activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" and "Mission and Value Statement."
What qualifications you will need:- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

- Associate Degree
