Job Description: - Educates patients regarding procedures and tests, and other hospital policies.
- Conducts patient care activities with respect for privacy and confidentiality.
- Identifies and responds to life-threatening situations appropriately.
- Assists in the organization and coordination of patients to promote efficient flow within the department.
- Collaborates with staff as a team player to ensure quality patient care.
- Addresses ethical issues in patient care, such as Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney.
- Uses appropriate forms with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Responds promptly and effectively to patient and guest needs.
- Receives and places reports in patient charts to prevent delays and complications.
- Informs physicians of abnormal results as soon as possible.
- Notifies appropriate team when patients are available for pre-op interviewing.
- Performs EKGs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Computer skills [Required]
Education: - Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study: Work Experience: - 1+ clinical nursing [Required]
Additional Information: Licenses and Certifications: - Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
