Must-Have:
Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Ability to communicate clearly and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and the healthcare team.

Description:
Provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices.
Apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Perform patient assessments reflecting physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, cognitive needs and functional abilities.
Plan and prioritize care based on patient assessments.
Evaluate patient progress and revise care to attain expected outcomes.
Include patients and families in planning care and evaluating programs and outcomes.
Demonstrate clinical competencies in specific area of practice.
Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education.
Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching in achieving desired outcomes.
Identify and respond appropriately to ethical issues in patient care.
Provide nursing care in a non-judgmental manner that respects patient diversity and acknowledges patient rights.
Initiate collaborative dialogue with physicians and coordinate multidisciplinary activities.
Act as a patient advocate and identify resources to meet unique patient needs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality initiatives.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving patients may be necessary.
Work environment involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and potential infectious materials.
May require taking call and working weekends and holidays based on departmental needs.
