Nursing Supervisor (RN)

Position Overview - This role plays a critical part in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting staff performance, and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, high-quality care.As Nursing Supervisor, you will:
  • Oversee nursing operations during your assigned shift
  • Support and supervise nursing staff across the facility
  • Serve as a clinical resource and leader for nursing teams
  • Help ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance
  • Assist with staffing coordination, problem-solving, and resident care oversight
  • Partner closely with Unit Managers, DON leadership, providers, and interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Supervisor:

Clinical Leadership
  • Supervise nursing care services and nursing personnel across assigned units
  • Conduct rounds and provide clinical support and guidance to staff
  • Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely communication of changes
  • Assist with admissions, evaluations, care planning, and resident oversight
  • Support safe medication administration and treatment delivery

Staff Support & Operations
  • Assist with staffing coordination and assignment adjustments
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support to nursing staff
  • Ensure documentation, workflows, and assignments are completed appropriately
  • Participate in shift-to-shift communication and operational updates
  • Promote a collaborative, respectful, team-focused environment

Quality & Compliance
  • Help maintain compliance with facility policies, CMS standards, and nursing regulations
  • Support infection prevention and facility safety initiatives
  • Assist with incident response, emergency procedures, and survey readiness
  • Participate in QAPI and performance improvement efforts


Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing Supervisor:
  • Possession of a state license in applicable state you are performing work and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role
  • Interest or experience in geriatrics
  • Current BLS/CPR
  • Experience with dementia population desirable
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
